
Pichai Sundararajan better known as Sundar Picha, is an Indian-American business executive. He is one of the chief executive officers (CEOs) of Alphabet Inc., its subsidiary Google and was born in Madurai in India.[4Pichai earned his qualification in engineering metallurgical from IIT Kharagpur. He was awarded an M.S. in the United States after moving to the United States. He earned a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He also received an MBA from Wharton School of Pennsylvania. Following a brief stint at McKinsey, Pichai moved to Google in 2004. At Google, he was in charge of the development of Google Drive and was also responsible for the management of products and innovations. In addition he was later able to supervise the development of other applications like Gmail as well as Google Maps. Pichai first introduced WebM in 2010, and also announced the open-sourcing of the new codec for video VP8 developed by Google. In 2012, the Chromebook was introduced. Pichai further added Android to the Google products that he managed in 2013.
