Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actress best recognized for her role as House in the Fox the medical thriller House. Following her upbringing by Jewish conservatives in Wayne, New York City was where she set her sights to study the theater at Tisch. Her performance quickly made her a part of the club scene in New York. Her shows were so impressive that local media took notice. She used both her training in music and fame to create and star in a musical of her own, Positive Me. She landed her first job with MTV as the anchor of Awake on The Wild Side shortly after. When Awake on the Wild Side was no longer being aired, she began acting in movies and on television, initially in small roles. As time went on, her work in acting grew.
