Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson (born April 14 in 1970) is an American actress, singer, writer and director. Her most recognizable character is Tara Maclay, in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Alongside that, she's produced, directed and starred for her own film Chance & Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also starred in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was the youngest of children of Edward Benson and Diane Benson. She was born in Birmingham in Alabama, on 8 January 1977. Danielle, her sister is a talented artist. Benson attended a Reform Jewish synagogue as she grew up. Her mother, who was Southern Baptist and raised Jewish through her father, is as well Jewish. Benson started appearing in different movies, such as The Killing Jar. Benson was also a part of TV shows such as Morganville The Series.
